Payroll Africa Technologies (Pty) Ltd is a South African software company. We build and operate one product — Payroll Africa — and we support employers in South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia, Eswatini and Zimbabwe from our office in Mpumalanga.
We're an African team. We live with load shedding, we've felt what a bi-annual reconciliation costs in stress, and we've spent nights fixing a Sage or SimplePay export that almost — but not quite — matched the target schema. That context shapes every product decision we make.

Why we started this.
For a business with 5, 20 or 100 employees the options have historically been bad ones: premium prices for legacy on-premise software, a spreadsheet and hope, or outsourcing payroll and losing visibility. We started Payroll Africa to give employers a third option they can run themselves.
