    UIF ceiling

    The maximum monthly remuneration on which UIF is calculated — R17,712 (effective 1 June 2021).

    Full definition

    The UIF ceiling is the monthly remuneration cap set by the Department of Employment and Labour above which UIF contributions do not increase. At R17,712, the maximum contribution is R177.12 employee + R177.12 employer.
