    CCMA

    The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration — dispute-resolution body for unfair dismissals and workplace disputes.

    Full definition

    The CCMA is an independent statutory body established under the Labour Relations Act to conciliate and arbitrate labour disputes free of charge. Employees who believe they were unfairly dismissed generally have 30 days from date of dismissal to refer the dispute.
